I bought these plants for a dollar at a remainder section of the hardware store. They were very beat up and brown. I just stuck them in the ground and watered them. Eventually they recovered and started to flourish and last year for the first time, just before we left our last house, they flowered. Just a few delicate flowers, but very beautiful. They only lasted a couple of days. Very unexpected blooming and then back to boring green leaves. No idea what they are. Cactuses are like this too. A sudden show of colour.
