Although I joke about Green Porridge, I had never actually had some until this morning. I decided to play a trick on my son, who had asked for porridge for breakfast and get some photographs for the hunt at the same time.
Needless to say, he was non too keen. Me, I thought it was just fine.
As for other green delicacies here in South Australia, I can recommend the pie floater from Villi's 24 hour cafe just of South Road. You can have it for breakfast.
Breakfast gives us energy... Great choice for today's theme... Hope you'll visit mine too..
ReplyDeleteOh my, I was thinking about having porridge for breakfast too.....great pictures though....
ReplyDeletecool shots!!! Great choice for today's theme... Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting porridge! Great reaction from your son! Haha..
ReplyDeleteLooks radioactive :) First time I heard of green porridge. Is that a food coloring?
ReplyDeleteHappy hunting and happy eating too :D
Crikey mate! My sister once did that with scrambled eggs. It looked very interesting! We were working with food colouring yesterday in Science as we were making rainbows wih jello after studying how rainbows are formed.
ReplyDeleteDoes your wife do her digital scrapping on line? I'm with The Digital Scrapbook Place.
I print all of mine up into coffee table books with blurb.com
That is too funny. Not sure I would be too keen to try green porridge but fun shots.
ReplyDeleteSo that is the green porridge :D Looks a bit different which made your son look aghast!
ReplyDeleteI'm joining your son...ha ha.. nothing that green in the morning please...Great Shot!
ReplyDeleteYeeeeargh! No green porridge for me (either) thanks! As for the pie floater: Had read about it but never seen a picture of it before until now! ;b

Porridge of any shade is anathema to me. Toast and coffee, especially the latter.

ReplyDeleteThat's funny! You shocked you kid early in the morning! ^_^ Have a nice weekend.

Thank you for stopping by! :)
Yumm we eat like this on St Patty's day:)
ReplyDeleteI think I'll have the same reaction as your son's if served w/ that green porridge.
ReplyDeleteWow! Very cool :)
ReplyDeleteHe looks rather - um - less than enthusiastic!
ReplyDeleteWhat did you use to make it green? It looks like that green gel you can grow plants in.
ReplyDeleteThose were fun! Um... What's a "pie floater"?

That is some really green porridge. What did you use to turn it that color? Cute choice for our breakfast theme.
ReplyDeleteGreen porridge! yucks. The colour makes me think twice about putting it in my mouth.
ReplyDeleteFor a moment I thought it was St Patrick's day all over again. So what is the story to the blog's name? Is is stuck in the archives somewhere? Point me in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteI used to live within walking distance of the Vili's cafe. Their freshly made hot chips are the best! The vanilla slices aren't bad either.
ReplyDeleteI love the green porridge idea. I eat porridge every morning, maybe for St Patricks day I'll do a green batch.
