What a fine photograph. . . are they friends with each other or friends with you?
I have to admit that my immediate reaction to seeing a snail like that is to run for my salt shaker. . . but I am a gardener at heart, through and through. The way they mow lettuce makes them something less than my friends, I'm afraid.

My giant foot can't see, I often make them go "Pliak" and they are gone leaving a mess on my deck.
