This makes me all nostalgic as we head into 2007. It has everything, optimism, winter, Scottishness, a connection with my kids through the Raymond Briggs books, Irn Bru.... (just joking). It is very disconcerting for average Scots to head into New Year when the temperature is around 30 degrees at midnight (and I am not talking about fahrenheit). I take solace in the fact that we had hailstones yesterday.
This is more the way I remember it.
