Photo Hunt: Road

Every school day, the kids cross the road to get to class after I drop them off. This was the day that Spotty went for show and tell. I usually go in with them and on days when I don't, I love to just watch them crossing the road. One of the small joys of parenthood.

Hi Colin - that reminded me, I was on playground duty yesterday before school and one of the soccer balls went on the road outside the school twice! And each time I was clear over in the other direction, but a kind bus driver, and then a father who was crossing his kids over, picked up the ball and returned it each time. :)

Lovely shot you have posted for this week. :)

Very wise of you to enjoy these moments!

You are smart to treasure these little moments in time. They grow up and move away so fast and before you know it, they will be parents themselves!

I love that shot. Takes me back to those days of watching my daughter cross the street on her way to school. Great idea for the road theme. Hope you and your family have a great weekend.

They look pretty eager to get to school, Spotty most of all. Excuse me Sir, but isn't that car on the wrong side of the road? Have a good weekend Colin.

I miss walking my son to school. He's a big boy of 17 now. haha... Amazing the kids could bring their pet dog to school! Not in Singapore. :)

Oh! That sounds fun. Somehow, there are still years to come for my turn to watch my girl cross the road on her own. As she is only 21 months now. hehe......

Watching kids cross the roads, something all parents freak out the first few times.
But as time past, we know they've all grown up :)

The road isn't choked with traffic... did you pose this during the hols... ? Come on, I want the truth !
I mean, this looks safe - no crossing lady, etc.

There is always something nostalgic about watching school children cross the road. Good choice.

Ah yes the walking to school with our little precious ones....it's sad though a lot of children don't walk to school anymore as parents fear something happening to their littles ones so they drive them....what a shame...not only was it good excercise but there is a social component to it as well that I think the miss out on when they don't walk to school....great photo for the theme
