That is so great. The magpie is looking at the sky and you're looking at the sky and the magpie.

Wonderful view of sky and bird!Luiz
Well spotted and captured on film
Neat shot... lucky advantage point for the bird. If we could only be as lucky to fly up and see the view as easily!~Michele~Mountain Retreat- Canada
Great photo's & amazing colors. I love the bird.We have red in sky here tonight.Happy SWF!
Love the colors and the bird! Happy SWF!
Australian Magpies are quite a bit bigger and noisier than those I remember from the UK. We have two who have called our house their territory.
Love the colors! Happy skywatching! :)
You've gained 2 magpies as your pets I see :)
Do you get a lot of magpies round your way then?
James They seem very territorial. There are quite a few in the trees over the road, but only ever two poking around and surveying our garden. Interesting and menacing birds. They are not much smaller than Spotty.
We have magpies in the Western U.S. too and they must all have the same disposition! Very interesting post and photo. Thanks for sharing.
A great photo, glad the magpie stayed around long enough for you to take your photo.
Nice shot- always love the birdies -Happy SwF! Come visit mine if you have the chance: dlyn
