Photo Hunt: Hope
Ryan played under 9 soccer this year. In all games they swap positions. They managed to make their way through the season losing every game, conceding gazillions of goals and scoring only one. At the end of season tournament, they were on their way to an honorable no score draw in the final game. In the last minute they conceded a penalty. Ryan was in goal at that time. Such tension for all the parents. If all the collective hopes of the parents, including me were the reason that he saved it, then great.
They were all so excited not to have lost (again). There is always hope for next year.
Hope you are hopeful about 2009. I am.

Oh poor kids! :-) Glad they were able to hold off the last game.
Happy 2009!
Great take on the theme. Sounds a lot like my daughter's soccer team when she was around 5 or 6. Fortunately they had fun which is what matters (or should in my opinion especially with young teams). Happy weekend.
Oh dear. It is very heartbreaking as a parent to see this happen. Still always next season, which I hope will be a reversal of this.
Have a good weekend Colin.
Despite the near universal prognostications of economic gloom and doom, I do remain hopeful re 2009. Happy new year to you, Colin!
There is always hope. My son came out fourth in wushu championship...a form of martial arts. He was terribly disappointed. I told him there is always hope too :)
Happy new year.

Happy New Year!
Hey Colin; nice to see you over in India :) I'm an old Adelaide girl...born in Glenelg, lived in the foothills up at Highbury, and mum lives in Mitcham now...it felt funny even writing "Highbury" then...I haven't lived there for over 20 yrs...
I hope he's having fun!
I played too :)
Great take on the theme and there is always hope for next year! I have hope for the St. Louis Rams to do better next year!
Ha, reminds me of my hockey team first year we played. We lost the first 8 games without scoring a goal at all. We got very excited when one of the top teams only beat us 2 - 0.
Then in the last game we scored one goal. Then another. We still lost (3-2) but no one would have known. It gave us great hope for the next year where we went on to actually win 7 of our games.
A new year always brings Hope.
Here's to a HOPEful new year! Good luck in the soccer department.
Don't you just love sever losing streaks..Hopefully next season will be the complete opposite.
:)
Hope they'll get better in the next season :)
I hope they have a better season next year and that they don't let the results of this season discourage them.
Mine is up at Haw Creek Out 'n About - Hope.
Glad to see the team is hopeful for their future.
hopefully they'll get it in the next season.
happy new year! :)
