This photo was taken by a scientist working on my project in Kingston South East near the Coorong and Lower Lakes region of South Australia. The lack of water is very depressing for all the people who live in that area and depend on water flows from the River Murray for their livelihood.

Oh there really is no water. Very sad indeed. Same here in CA, with very little rainfall and not enough snow pack for the past two years, our rivers and dams are pretty low too.
Once again - the foreground makes the picture - not the least the sign.
Interesting but I can't help but notice there's no snow! I know it's summer...but what a shame!

That is sad about the lack of water. If it wasn't a sad situation, the sign would be hilarious. Actually the sign is hilarious, sometimes you just have to laugh but I am sorry about the water issue.
The sky is beautiful -- the situation is really sad, but I too, had to laugh at the sign! I don't think they have to worry about that right now at least! Thanks for sharing, it's a great photo! Have a good weekend!

The jetty looks very forlorn. Rising or falling waterlevels are causing problems everywhere throughout the world...I'm relieved we've had rain this year here..
