Our Sunflower Garden

The kids planted these as seeds just after we bought the house. They survived being transplanted from the front of the house to the back, where I built a narrow garden bed next the shed. They are now in full bloom and the bees are busy. Hot again here in Adelaide. Mid to high 30 degrees all week. Even sunflowers wilt in that heat.

Those are pretty fabulous sunflowers, mate. You must be proud.

In this climate, sunflowers are one of the easiest and most satisfying plants to grow. The kids can plant them as seeds and within a reasonable time they are towering beauties. All you need is sun and water.
