Every year the South Australian Government sponsors the Premiers Reading Challenge. At our kids school everybody participated. This is Hannah's fourth year and she got a Gold Medal. Ryan got a Bronze Medal. I think getting a medal for reading is fantastic. They obviously do too.
Congratulations to the young ones Colin. Brilliant idea and it's working in one household. Thank heavens we raised two readers, by example I guess or maybe genes.
Thanks everybody. It is the end of the school year here and the kids are very run down. It has been a good year for both of them and they have new challenges ahead with a new school, new house and neighbourhood next year. It is very easy to think that playing on the computer will get kids to read. Nothing can replace the tactile satisfaction of turning the pages.

What a great idea Colin. I bet it is a great incentive for the kids.
Adorable, smart kids! You're very lucky Colin.
It is indeed fantastic. I know you are proud and I'm betting they are too. Have a great WW. :)
That's a wonderful competition to get the kids to read. I think I should start one here in Singapore.
Congrats to your babies. Great achievement! :-)
Happy WW! My Wordless Wednesday
I'm proud for ya! That's great for those kids. How wonderful. What are their favorite books?
Wonderful! More schools should offer programs like that. I'm beginning to think most people in the US are borderline illiterate!

I wish that they did this sort of thing in Canada. Reading should be valued at least as much as sports.

It won't surprise you when reading that I am delighted, Colin, will you? :)
Congratulations to Hannah and Ryan.
Whoa. Of course,
..., will it?

Beautiful pics, Colin. You must be a proud dad.
