Saturday Photo Hunt: Spicy
Working in a hotel kitchen that specialises in Indian food, I make spicy food almost every day. This is a chicken curry, Chicken Makhani. Not too spicy, but full of spices.

Scottish Cultural Terms Haar (fog)
In meteorology, haar is a coastal fog along certain lands bordering the North Sea; the term is primarily but not only, applied in eastern Scotland.[1] Research has shown that haar is typically formed over the sea and is brought to land by wind advection.[2]
Variants of the term include har, hare, harl, harr, hoar and the origin may be Saxon.[3] Sometimes it is (especially in Northumberland) referred to as a Sea Fret.

Greedy Australians just take a look at how the Motherland is treating their citizens. How could you guys be mean to such a generous government as Julia and Wayne are laying out for you. Free insulation for your houses, nice new sports halls and upgraded schools for your kids, new roads, rail and other transport goodies. Investment in jobs, no work choices. A fair tax for wealthy Australian mineral exploiters. I could go on, but in reality, Australia is the lucky country. You guys need to get with the programme. You could always move back to your country of origin and if it is the UK, good luck. Also, the weather is crap. Just saying.

Russian photographer Andrey Pavlov takes insane macro pictures of LIVE ants by spending hours and hours playing with them and posing them to get the perfect shot. I...can't even believe half of them are real. Of course I have zero experience posing ants and have only burnt them with a magnifying glass, so maybe it's actually easier than I thought.

This collection of self-portraits showcased in Anja Niemi's new exhibition were taken on her year-long travels around Europe and trip to New York. All are challenging, some are playful, others are disturbing. The portraits were taken inside hotel rooms in Vienna, Berlin, New York and Oslo. Whilst the hotels used as the photographer's stage remain anonymous, Niemi has revealed the identity of two of the hotels - the Hotel Penion Funk Charlottenburg in Berlin and New York's Park Plaza.
