Yes. The ban was effectively imposed this morning. I think this is political as the Australian election moves into the next phase. I think Howard wanted the issue closed so that it was not a diversion as they attempt to claw back against the Labor Party, which is well ahead in the polls. I think most Australians are pretty sanguine about it all. At one level it would not be much competition and not many people would care much about the crikcet matches themselves.
