Hi Colin, I see you about at welshcakes and james' blogs and came over to enter my city in the carnival. Vancouver, Canada. Had to stop when I saw the cricketers. Like you I'm a transplant, but a transplanted Aussie, here in Vancouver for 46 years.
My husband is obssessed with cricket, was a player there and here for years. He is enjoying, at great expense, the feed of the World Cup on the computer. So the Aussies against Sri Lanka in the final. Who would have thought? regards jmb

I don't know what they were thinking as I know nothing about cricket. but I used to like seeing the men in cricket whites, not this awful clothing.
