Everywhere we look and read it is a giant sucking sound as money is robbed from current needs by SA Labor, to feed the insatiable budget requirements of the proposed Marj Mahal Public Hospital and other vainglorious public investments.Hello we don't need White Elephant Memorials to your vanity, we need adequately funded public schools, suitably paid public servants in the front line like nurses, teachers and paramedics. We need regeneration of existing medical facilities such as the Womens and Childrens Hospitals and we need this now.

Governments need to invest in new infrastructure sooner or later. The excuses you are hearing about expenditure being deferred seem completely bogus.
Yes I have been in and yes it is not great. I just question the extent of the cuts that are being forced on many sections of society at this time.
Why? The state seems to be pretty prosperous.
Perhaps they could convert the National Wine Centre into a hospital...no, wait, that's already a white elephant...
