I don't enjoy pointless sewer mouth but I do find the role reversal (from what I remember) interesting.
You know, I never even knew they were gay until about four years ago. How sad is that?
That made me laugh for a while. The last 30 seconds are the best.

Of course, Bert and Ernie are gay partners.It's in the maritalness of their quarrels, their framed portrait, and (believe it or not) some of the jokes in the show.Some of the vintage Sesame Street dialog may express gay humor about them. If so, it is still careful and subtle indeed.
