Denver Airport in the Snow

Interesting before and after picture of Denver Airport with the snow. Makes it look like a microchip.

It does, doesn't it? Remarkably like a microchip. Anyway, aren't you in Oz? Hankering after the snow, no doubt. Miss the Cairngorms perhaps?

I don't really know what a microchip looks like but I enjoyed the photos! I pondered upon the fact that you're in Oz, too!

Yes. No snow here ever. They used to have a miniature indoor snow arena with worse snow than the Cairngorms, where I learned to ski with lace up boots. Next up was 80 mph wind, ice and driving snow, with attendant freezing extremities, leaving aside the frustration of learning to ski in those conditions. Bliss. I am comfortable not being around the snow, but I would like my kids to be exposed at some point.

At the other extreme, I spent a year in Aspen. The snow and weather conditions are appreciably better there.
